The Youth Group at St. Jude’s expresses itself in many forms – from a safe-place social club for teens to a service oriented group bent on mission. We gather for movie nights and bowling one week, and then participate in a fundraiser for the Stephen Lewis Foundation the next. At the heart of all these activities, tying them together, is relationship. Much of teen culture, from Facebook to text messaging, is about “networking.” While these tool are valuable ways to keep in touch and keep informed (and we do have our own Facebook group!) as a Christian community we strive to go beyond the network to friendship. There’s no substitute for actually sitting down together, either for serious work or for the joy of a pizza party, and being in relationship.

If you’re a teen on Facebook, check out our group. But don’t just join the Facebook group – come join the real, human group, too!
