Justice and Servant Ministries Print E-mail

At St Jude’s, what was once called the “Outreach Committee” is now called “Justice and Servant Ministries.”  The objectives of our Justice and Servant ministries are to respond to human need with loving service and to seek to transform the unjust structures of society.

The parishioners involved in our Justice and Servant Ministries are an active, dynamic group who strive to put our faith into action and focus our energies on social, economic or environmental issues. These issues may be a local, national or international concern.

What Justice and Service Ministries is St Jude’s involved in?

Currently a small working party is conducting a survey of parishioners to identify new opportunities for St Jude’s as a congregation to express God’s love through service to the wider community.  At the same time, members of the church are individually involved in such activities as Food for Life, Fareshare Foodbank, United Way, Rotary, Rainbows, Prism, Halton Trauma Centre, Home Suite Hope, Youth Missions, PWRDF, micro-financing, Kerr Street Ministries and countless other expressions of God’s love.  Some activities are repeated each year, but some change based on the interests, skills and availability of our parishioners, as well as areas of the greatest need.
