The Anglican Church Women meet on the second Monday of each month at 7:30 pm in the St. Jude's Library Hall. New members are always welcome.
STATEMENT OF MISSION FOR THE ANGLICAN CHURCH WOMEN
The A.C.W. share a long history of fellowship, companionship and service to St. Jude's and the wider community outside the church.
We are a group of about 40 women, meeting 10 times a year in the Library Hall at the church. Any member of the church is welcome to join us. Mutual skills and talents are used for our fundraising events, such as two separate Rummage Sales and a Fall Fair.
Our objectives are: to aid in the upkeep of the interior of the church, particularly the kitchen and its equipment. In addition, when special appeals are received for assistance outside the parish, the A.C.W. may make such contributions as agreed upon by vote of the membership at a general meeting.
We are inspired by our faith and affection for St. Jude's. |
Altar Guild members ensure that the sanctuary is appropriately set up for all services including baptisms, weddings and funerals. They are responsible for the care of vessels, linens, hangings, the supplies required, the weekly flower arranging and decorating for special occasions and festivals.
St. Jude's Altar Guild is a congenial group of approximately 40 members who work in teams of four to five on a schedule that suits each member's availability. Members are on duty about five times a year.

The St. Jude’s Garden Guild now comprises some 30 members. We meet mostly on Thursday mornings, or afternoons, according to the season, with a common goal of maintaining these beautiful gardens – keeping them colourful and cared for, and ever conscious of the changing seasons. We round off the session with a welcome ‘coffee & cookies’ break; where we enjoy the real friendship of our fellow volunteers.
