Holiday dinners with Bruce and Irene were astonishing. The collection of guests was unlikely, including ancient nuns and a very flamboyant gay hairstylist, ordinary small-town Alberta neighbors and young professionals from "the city." The conversation was lively, passionate, agreeable enough, but not because everyone agreed.
